Arrival
- Nearest car parks to us are Houndshill Shopping Centre and Central car park. Both car parks have disabled parking spaces
- The path to the museum is flat and the kerb is sloped for drop off outside the museum entrance
- The main entrance has level access
- There are two entrances to the museum, a revolving door in the centre and an assisted opening door to the right of the revolving door. This door opens on to the street and is wheelchair accessible.
Toilets
- Accessible toilets located with the toilets on the ground floor
- Changing Places Toilet (Radar Key operated) located on first floor but accessed by nearby lifts
- Unisex accessible peninsular toilet with handrails and grab bars
- Adjustable height washbasin with grab bars, wet room shower
- Multi-care trolley with adjustable height and tilting back rest, electric hoist system to 200kg
- Privacy folding screen, emergency call point and 6 hooks for clothes/possessions
- Plenty of room for at least two carers and a wheelchair user

- No, there are some snacks and drinks available to buy from our shop and plenty of local cafes and restaurants nearby if you’d like to grab a bite to eat before or after your visit to the museum.
